LinkI recall Seymour was originally human, however in jeopardy for simply being gay within Russia to Germany around the 1940s.
As a boy, Seymour Kuznetsov (Сеймур Кузнецов) was reserved and quiet. His constant exhaustion and evident self-isolation were often noted by the few friends he knew. His schools had been convinced of some form of abuse at home, hammered in by bruising and scratches found around his body. His image grew to be a child who shrunk at the slightest hint of aggression in tone; he didn't quite understand what 'tone' was as a concept, either.

LinkEnter the 1830s, around 40 years after his birth. As a man, he was far more outgoing and almost condescending in his behavior. He was known by his queer mannerisms and flamboyancy in the way he spoke, ate, drank, etc.; this jeopardized his reputation in his community. Around then spiraled a short, although impactful within Seymour's humble village and wherever around, war that had been quickly swept beneath the radar for anyone outside of their government's perimeters.

LinkAs a result, these methodologies were put to the test in the so-called 'mini war'; the DNA and RNA of humankind were meshed with that of animals, as well. The majority of these experiments found themselves to be unfruitful; at the beginning, it was rumored to be an inexistant and impossible operation.
Eventually, the splicing had reached its peak perfection into a brutish amalgam between human and snake. The aforementioned xenotransplantation allowed the mature mind of a human man to be placed into these bodies.

LinkOne of these men happened to be Seymour, drafted within this war's army and sentenced to a near eternal suffering within his new vessel; this had been punishment for multiple charges on his name, doubled with the need for more strength on the battlefield.
