How to use this base: Once you've downloaded the file and uploaded it to the canvas, I've made it so the lineart and the color are on separate layers. This is so you can use the orange marker tool to color underneath the lines. Allowing you to also easily color the lines seperately as well. While yes, boo hoo, you can't use fill tool, it will avoid those white little spots you get with fill tool as well. You might be able to manage using the fill tool if you tried, but that's not how you're supposed to use the base. The morph edits are also on separate layers so you can move them around and edit them if you like. Only exceptions to the edits being purely on the other layers, are Basilisk and Cockatrice. Which require total relines of some limbs. You may combine morphs if you like, they can canonically combine. I was just so damn tired.

I HIGHLY recommend you read this for info on them. I don't mind if you go off canon it's just cool stuff

Just a warning, the Cockatrice archae has some color and lineart merging issues, just hit the undo button on the morph edit color layer until it goes away and you can refill it. I'll write it down as something to fix when I fix some problems with the base.

sorry for late response but YES!!!! They can be literally any color!! Even lore wise it makes sense because their dna tends to scramble a lot, in particular the DNA strands that control color!!
