Linkcharades pov anim uwu
Charades could feel his throat tighten as the pounding of shoes and the swish of lab coats sounded louder and louder behind them. Echo sprinted alongside him, panting quietly from her tail. The bandages that wrapped around T’s head where his third eye used to be flapped in the breeze, and the exit seemed far ahead of Charades. A mental sigh echoed through his mind. His gaze lowered and he felt his pace slow down despite Echo frantically trying to push him onwards.
“Come On, we neEd to get oUT oF here!” The voice that was released from her tail was a distorted mix of both her voice and T’s.
“STOP! TEST SUBJECTS CAN NOT LEAVE!”
Charades skidded to a halt. Maybe he could hold off the workers behind them, and give Echo and T enough time to get away...
“Charades!” Echo cried. “Come on, quickly!”
He looked up, not moving, and simply stared back at her horror-struck face. He dipped his head, eyes glimmering with quiet anguish.

The lab workers were close behind now.
“eChO We NeeD To lEavE Him!” T choked out, flinging a glance at Charades.
Despite everything, Charades felt a twinge of surprise at the pain in the aloof snake’s eyes. Usually so distant and sharp-tounged towards him, and here he was. Such a powerful stare...
Charades felt something suddenly scrape across his eye and he lashed out a paw in panic. Something clamped his ear. Something scratched his haunch. What was this? What were they doing? He thrashed wildly, and then... the prick of a needle in his paw. Drowsiness overcame him, as the bars of the cage cracked his vision. Shouting sounded his ears, and if he had a mouth... then he would have smiled as he saw Echo and T pass the exit. Echo threw another glance back at him, and he flinched at the tears that were welling up in her purple eyes. His vision blurred. He wasn’t sure if it was with blood, tears, sleepiness or a distressing mix of all three. The last thing he saw was two lab workers rushi

Linkrushing out of the exit, but no further shouts of anger or triumph. Only frustrated mumbling and the stomps of feet. They must’ve gotten away... He had succeeded.
Heh. He was going to miss them.

Maybe he’ll meet her again one day.
