hey also pssst you should play the world ends with you. very good game on the ds and nintendo switch (final remix). it also has a sequel that is also very good thats on basically every modern console including pc. that sequel is where the silly in my pfp is from. theres also an anime adaption of the first game (just called ‘the world ends with you the animation’) if u dont wanna play a 20 hour game, it has some pacing issues but its still really cool. also just please play the ds game on real hardware if you can its an amazing experience with the combat if you get really good at it, if you have a 3ds with cfw theres a patch that ive heard about that can uncompress the music too so its an even better experience (the soundtrack is SO GOOD). pleasepleaseplease more people need to know / play this series it needs to stop being dead aaah the story’s SO FRIGGIN GOOD like theres a reason i have had twewy brainrot for the past 12 weeks nothing has captivated me this much in so long. neo’s story isn’t as good but

but it makes up in updated visuals and really just a modern feel to the original. i almost started crying the first time i played neo, after playing around 50 hours of the first game. its just so unbelievably amazing to see the scramble and just all of shibuya that you’ve spent so much time running through but in 3d.. and it still keeps its style!! the way the background models move around while you’re runnin around hurts my brain the same way it did in the original /pos it’s AMAZING and SO COOL TO WATCH. though the og has such an interesting story there is. a lot of cutscenes. like, a LOT. and i didn’t mind! the art is really cool and i like looking at it, and as i said the story really intrigued me and kept me interested, enough to finish the game 6 days after starting it which has not happened with a ds game in like, forever. most ds games i pick up play a little bit and then when i put them down i don’t feel like i have the motivation to pick em back up again.

but saying that, i know some people might be turned off by the sheer amount of dialogue compared to actual gameplay. and if you still wanna experience twewy, neo’s a lot better in that regard! not only are the cutscenes a lot more visually interesting, and IT HAS VOICE ACTING!!! like fully voiced cutscenes!! the first and last ones of each day, and a few extra ones as well. but not only that they also feel a lot shorter than the og’s cutscenes too, and have a lot more gameplay imo. so i’d probably watch the anime, read the secret reports from the first game, and then play neo?? the last episode of the anime covers a bit of the secret reports but it’s really not a lot, and there are a lot of big proper nouns thrown around like Soul and Imagination and uhhh idk stuff like that, that if you’re just starting neo with no background its gonna be real confusing.

but also if you know twewy already you’re going to be SO confused through most of neo, i just kind of, shoved my confusion into a box and tried to go through the story without wondering too much about what the hell was happening and WHERE IS JOSHUA (dont spoil that if you know im putting off getting the last secret report in neo to like.. next week. im gonna do it. but cod am i dreading getting the 10th one. WHY IS THE 10TH ONE COMPLETE THE SOCIAL NETWORK. i literally have EVERY OTHER ONE but i cant reAD them because i dont have the tenth. grrr). oh also theres some returning characters from the first game that left me speechless and squealing and screaming even tho i knew they were coming. so definitely watch the anime at least before playing neo so you can get excited for those characters and like know who they are haha

oh also neo’s combat system is a lot easier to understand and grasp. i know not everyone’s gonna be able to do the multitasking required in ds’s (or final remix if you play co-op by yourself, holding both joycons in your hands), so having a much simpler to understand but still complex combat system really makes it a lot more fun for those who couldn’t grasp ds’s combat while still feeling like, well, twewy. its unique imo and cod neo really just feels like if someone took the original and put it into a 3d environment, its so sick and still amazes me when i think about it. i’m not really that good at it baha but theres really a lot that you can do to make your decks more efficient, but you don’t have to do that to have fun & beat stuff up!! pig noise being pink feels wrong tho

dude i wasn’t able to control my partner, i was too stupid and it wasnt until after i beat ds i wanted to put together joshua’s battle idle and needed to turn off autoplay to get a reference. i focused so much on neku, and trying to get him doing as much damage as i could without thinking about the whole picture. while yes, before i did probably play neku better, but now with forcing autoplay off, i’ve learned to try to alternate my focus between the two in order to maintain the light puck and get my damage even higher, while also increasing output from neku’s partner. its so friggin fun. i’ve been having to use joshua a lot lately which actually was my main while going through getting the secret reports, cos i’ve been grinding math man for shadow matter, but MAN beat is so fun!! he does a crap ton of damage but his cards?? dude they hurt my brain sm before but getting those sweet sweet combos and instantly getting a lv2 or lv3 fusion. mmm. SO SATISFYING.

someone stop me before i write another essays length of twewy bc i freakin love this game so much I WANNA PLAY DS BUT IM HOLDING OFF UNTIL MY JP COPY OF THE GAME GETS HEREEE i bought 46usd worth of twewy merch and i cant wait for it to get here lmao i got soo many pins. wouldve gotten a listing w a ton of beat stuff and another w neo twewy coasters and posters but AAH i hate SHIPPING and extra fees :( had to cut down on what i was buying by a crap ton, i originally wanted to get 106usd worth of stuff asdasda we’re still making bad financial decisions tho dw …i should find that music uncompressing patch i mentioned, maybe i could try it on my 3ds sdfsfsd but the whole reason i got a dsi was cause i couldnt go back to the blurry pixels after seeing my sister’s dsi

(also i can’t read japanese so i’m going to have to rely on my few months old memory of how ds goes. wish me luck. i’m like in the process of learning japanese but i can only like, read katakana and hiragana. no kanji and no actual words or idea of how grammar works. so playing a very story based game in a language idk is gonna be great. though also theres a lot of different balancing stuff in the jp version so i’m excited to see how i live with that. i think i’ll be okay!! but i’m a tad bit worried haha. its a lot harder than international versions. alsoo… i’ll be able to hear everyone’s original voices!! heard em in the anime but it’ll be cool to hear it ingame yknow? beat sounds like rock from nanbaka. also i love how joshua says neku’s name. mm.) pretty much grabbing a brush and setting it to a low opacity, and erasing a ton. i did pretty much the same on a buncha frames when they were coming in/out, but instead of just the top, the entire layer, increasing the amount of times i went over with the eraser every frame. the very slight greyscale helps too, i think! its mostly the same grey but near the top i did a lil bit of white. love me some gradients. thank you!!
