Maybe shadows? Nighttime is pretty black too and people do suspicious things at night to hide their evil. Or smthn.

I've never understood it either... Like how I fear the dark at night and don't really know why??
Maybe it's because we don't really understand it, that's why we fear it? The dark itself isn't that scary, cause it can't hurt us, but it's what's inside it that's scary. That's how I see it.

black is a colour that can be seen to link to death and destruction.

its just how the colours linked to certain things.
like red can be love or anger and stuff.
yea black in the dictionary is literally anything bad but when it comes to white its innocent and good. It has links to things that aren't just color and its affecting me and people like me very much unfortunately.
Black is, well. dark and mysterious. Would you rather be in a room completely black?
Or a room thats completely white?
Obviously You would choose white. You can see everything around you.
Yet the darkness makes you think of whats lurking around. even if it's empty
