Honestly my only advice is to just.. start. You'll figure out what you like to do with them, ect ect, also study how your favorite artists create their own, focus on their details, their patterns, the colors, the ratios they use. Also, I reccomend colorhunt.co and potentially coolors.co

oh my gosh hi?? i love your art honestly the biggest problem i have is making the designs themselves.. i always feel like it looks stupid when i try to go too far off from a more realistic pattern 😔 but i should definitely get back into practice

Maybe u can try to make patterns how animal jam makes patterns? I always thought those were cute
