I drew his wings like that because a friend and I were talking about how some tribes should be very different evolutionary wise. Like how it'd make just slightly more sense if Nightwing markings looked more owl-ish. Then I said that their wings would be cool if they were shaped like this.
Oh and for no reason Bean is in the background, because I think random worm in the background is hehe haha
i always thought they'd be more bat-like
and then mudwings are like alligators
and rainwings are like chameleons (I drew a stylized rainwing with a chameleon tongue so they can get fruit more easily)
and then skywings look more like hawks (with feathers!)
and silkwimgs are fluffy like moths and have four eyes
and hiveings are like wasps with pinchers on their faces
and then leafwings look like wood
Oh! I like a lot of those, and it makes sense.
My friend doesn't like feathers on dragons (I personally love them depending on the dragon.)
I do agree with them on the fact that Icewings should be bigger due to the cold, and sandwings should be smaller because that's sorta how the desert works.
