Yippee! Well the basics of the lore is that the band members all worship and ancient deity called Sleep (he’s called that because he manifests in their dreams, and his actual name cannot be spoken by the human tongue, so they call him Sleep). The band members are basically “vessels” for this God, the singer is Vessel I (aka, just Vessel), the drummer is II, the bassist is III and the guitarist is IV. There’s also the female backing vocalists, who are called the Espera. Their songs are “offerings” or “tokens” to this God, hence the name Sleep Token 🫡

The lore goes way further beyond this but a lot of it is theories and speculation. The best thing to do is to listen to their music though 🙏🌞

Yesss, I recommend listening to the even in Arcadia album (most recent album, went to number one in charts and really blew them up. It’s very good but less lore heavy) and take me back to Eden (has heavier sounds and more lore heavy, I found them when this album released). But if you want some song recs I can totally give you some (this is like my favourite thing that isn’t robots that turn into cars can you tell)

They are very experimental, they do a lot of genre mixing. But for the most part they use pop, rnb, trap, rock and metal sounds the most. It really depends which song you listen to

My top 5 songs are provider, ascensionism, thread the needle, when the bough breaks and blood sport but I seriously love all of their music and my top songs change all the time. Right now I’m really into their sadder and less heavy stuff right now so all of those songs are basically devoid of any metal elements, they’re very nice though
