ok im bad at explaining things so srry in advance: Think of layers as like layered sheets of plastic over ur drawing, if u draw something on the top layer, it will draw over ur drawing on the bottom layer. If u want to move shapes separately, u will hv to put whatever u want to move on a different layer, and only move that layer. idk how paper works so ryy bout that hope this helps~
