ok so uh the super quick version basil was 14 and tori was 12 they were at a science place basil, being the clumsy moron he was at 14, tried to juggle flasks of chemicals because **moron** he dropped them chemicals went fwoosh tori moved but not enough so the chemicals splashed onto their face and stuff and burned it, if they hadnt moved at all they would be partly blind if not fully uhh so now they wear a mask to hide the burn and refuses to take it off ever unless theyre eating but they have to eat alone, or if theyre so hungry they forget to hide the burn and take it off anyway. for drinks they put a straw in the drink and put the straw under the mask also their best friend was killed when they were like 13 so yeah, overdone backstory woooo

i think adding in the 'friend died' part overdid it a bit but ty!! oh and they have a bracelet that friend made for them by hand and they never take it off since it reminds them of their friend
