LinkOkay I’m actually having a lot of fun with this
1. When did you start art?
2. How did you find FlipAnim?
3. Who inspires you (if anyone)?
4. *answers cutely*
1: well I’ve been drawing ever since I was little. I always liked art but only really decided to become le artist when I was encouraged by others
2: my friend found it in the beginning of seventh grade and I drew on my school computer until the stinky district blocked it, so I was gone for a long time right after hitting 100 followers. I came back a year ago
3: oh god, too many people to list off the top of my head, both on and off Flipanim. I’ll say the people who first come to mind on here: Bllue, Deery, Marble, ferret, lattice, and so many more people that I’d need to make a list for
4: *replies cutely*
1: sweet mint for sure
2: it’s my favorite holiday ever. All of America is spooky for a whole month. You get to basically cosplay with no one judging you, and get free candy for it. I could rant for like five paragraphs about why Halloween is great
3: for who I’m most attached to, Lucid obviously. For design it’s a tie between my cyclops children Jasper and HNNY. They’re both super fun to draw
4: fruity pebbles. They never get old
When did you find your style?
Which of inspos inspires you the most?
If you could have anyone style whos would it be?
1: My current style manifested maybe in November or December of last year and has been slowly evolving ever since. Really I have no consistent style, just an ever evolving one
2: imma have to be real. Tracy J. Butler is the shit. I learned so much from her art and also Lackadaisy is one of my favorite comics
3: I would steal pollovys style because it’s super cute and fun and still kind of close to my style, but honestly I would rather make my own style recognizable than take someone else’s
Funny story really. It started in the sixth grade when I had shit taste in music and there was an album called Lucid that I listened to and I thought it was a cool word. A few months later I created my sona and named her lucid. And lucid just kind of became my go to monicker. But I usually spell it like “Luc!d” on other platforms
Any animation tips?
Any art tips?
If you were to have a different username, what would it be?
(I hope I'm not too late ;-;)
OH! Also, I just want to say, I love your art and your a huge inspo for me! Congrats on 1K!!!
For animation I’d say if you’re starting out, you need to have a good understanding of consistency, and how everything moves. Go outside and watch things happen, watch how people walk, and catch all the subtlety of it
For art, as much as I would love to spill everything I know, that would be a bit extra, so I say that when developing your style and understanding of art, it’s good to have a rounded cast of professional artists to learn from. Each of them can teach you something the others don’t know, and help you learn more about art. I would never want a different username but if I was forced to I would move on over to Carrion, because I think that’s a cool name. And also thank you!
