anyways otto is edmund's main pokemon and pretty much the one guy who's been there for him his entire life which is sad because he's a dog. otto also acts as edmund's father figure pretty much. which is sad because he is still a dog

he can't speak normally (he just. was never able to nail it) so nigel made him a little collar to translate what he's saying and edmund decided it would be hilarious to give him a tag that said "idiot" so people think otto's name is idiot

otto's pretty like,, he seems vaguely angry or annoyed all the time but in reality he's just got a rude looking resting face. he is kind of a ***** but like not in a mean way he's pretty blunt, he's got a pretty strong no-nonsense policy and is generally pretty stoic. he comes off kind of cold sometimes but he's quite the opposite actually and is kind of sweet in his own weird way? it just usually doesn't come out unless he's around someone he cares about. wants to do his best to protect people, often putting himself in harm's way to achieve it (hence his scar and his broken horn), but he can't do a lot unfortunately. doesn't stop him from trying though

half-ish brothers with atlas (full brothers with his houndoom side- but atlas is a three-way fusion and i can't do math so i just say half-ish) which is pure coincidence and they don't know it at all and just kind of think sometimes "hmm. he's got the same kind of eyes as me..." to themselves and then forget about it for months
