I just finished watching Onward with my family, and I realized that this is a good way for Aria to use the crystal inside of her against enemies in battle. Using a staff, she can take the magic from inside of her and transfer it into the staff at the last moment so she won't start killing herself while trying to use her power. The crystal inside f her is way too powerful for her to use safely, so this would be the only way. I feel smart..!~
