Xonak found himself tentatively wishing for a home as he cautiously made his way closer, somewhere he could curl up and never worry about waking up again. The wind was howling, and now that he was closer to the storm, icy sheets of water that stung his eyes and made his mouth feel dry and parched. Perhaps he was making a foolish mistake in walking so close to the ocean when it was swollen and battering the sand nearby, but maybe it would be a mercy for him to be swallowed up by the world at this point. Maybe he was too far gone to be saved anymore.
