Pitbulls are terribly misunderstood dogs Pitbulls are stereotype as fighting dogs and are actually really nice dogs ANY dog can be trained to fight, raised to fight, or driven to attack, no matter what breed or what size or what reason People walking down the street are more likely to be scared of a pitbull barking at them from someone's yard then an actually aggressive dog of another breed. They will assume the pitbulls being aggressive and the other dog is guarding its yard when it's viceversa. And a lot of pitbull attacks and even other dog attacks are because you're in their space or their owners space. Dogs have bad days as well as humans but they can't tell you and if the human doesn't leave them alone they might growl if they still won't leave them alone they might snap at you and the person might hit the dog and the dog tries to protect itself. And if you make a threatening move or even one the dog could see as threatening it could attack ANY BREED even if there not trained.

Pitbulls used to fight have a horrible life they are forced to fight other dogs and if they don’t win they get beaten or killed, and if they survive the fight they are chained up in someone's backyard no food ,no water ,no shelter. They keep them on chains so heavy the dog can’t move around and when they are brought to fight there are given drugs that harm them but the people don’t care because it makes them more aggressive. The dogs were raised to be aggressive or die so when a dog fighting ring gets busted and the dogs are ‘rescued’ by shelters it is too late for them there are too aggressive and they are put down before anyone even tries to retrain them. ‘Dogs are only violent when they are treated wrongly. It isn't their fault. Rottweilers tend to get that rep too sometimes (Pitbulls more often) and it's just so mean because I grew up with Rottweilers. Never in my life have I not had one.
