The legends told of Caspian were well known among sailors in the seas surrounding the Crescent empire- a series of fairytales and legends told to convince young adventurers to avoid the seas, though most tended to look up to the stories instead. Caspian, in legend, was an exiled demigod, unable to leave his ship for a long period of time due to a curse and forced into various trials containing terrifying beasts and horrific weather events. However, most scholars in the empire agree he couldn't have existed- after all, nobody who claimed to have sighted his ship could agree on what it looked like, let alone the man himself's looks. Still, that left room for debate. If there were a demigod roaming the seas, looking for ships to raid, who's to say he'd allow himself to be seen? there free lore
