Makima could deffo hide her cutie mark with something that makes sense as a part of her job but slowly getting revealed the more the story is progressing
I forgot how it worked since I haven't watched HxH in ages but it'd be like hisoka's phantom tattoo where he could like peel it off
Or it could be like how starlight painted her fake cutie mark too expect for makima she couldn't paint it more like change the form of her cutie mark since she's technically a devil so she can mayb do that
