Make sure when outlining that you're zoomed in, this makes it smoother and you can catch mistakes better. Try to keep strokes in one move and try it multiple times instead of doing it once and rapidly trying to fix it. Be nice and relaxed, the more loose the better! Get some swingin' tunes and bop to it every once and again.
