President Trump claims that he is invading Venezuela due to threats and drug trade, saying the US is being threatened. Multiple strikes on Venezuelan boats have been recorded for the public to see and claimed to be in self defense. However, the Trump administration has not come forward with any evidence of the boats they bombed holding any terrorists or drugs. President Trump recently kidnapped the leader of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro. The capture was claimed to be an act to remove corruption from the country, but this is very hypocritical. Donald Trump is a corrupt leader, having been convicted of 34 felonies, going against the constitution, and using his money and power to get away with doing things which are illegal. This proves that he has ulterior motives for his invasion of Venezuela, that being oil. The US needs heavy oil for many things, which can be found in Venezuela. All of this shows that he may be trying to intimidate Venezuela, and that he actually provoked them first.
