Thats completely ok, go at your own pace, though you will need to make that step out of your comfort zone. If you're afraid of criticism, don't be, sure it can be extremely rude, I would know, but you can use that to help you. Say if they criticize about how big a head is in proportion to the rest then you can go ahead and work on the head size and over time you'll get better at proportions and things like that.
