Link1: This is the brainstorming stage, where you kind of make an outline of what you want to draw. This is where it doesn't matter what you do, what color you use, it will be drawn over in the end.
2: This is the refining stage, meaning you should make some sort of outline of what you want to draw. Again, it doesn't matter what color you use, just make sure this shape is what you want it to be.
3: Shading. How many times have I heard that word? Well, I'm just scratching at the drawing here, giving the drawing a little depth. This will be used in the final outcome.
4: Change the outline to whatever color you'd like. I prefer black, just because it's much easier to handle. Other colors tend to blend when you use the blend.. paintroller brush thing. One way you can overcome that, though, is to make two frames, both of your outline in black. One you'll color, and the other, will just be the outline. Color the outline, then paste it over the colored frame.. if that makes sense.

Link5: Take the lightest color you'll be using and lighten up the.. well.. lightened areas. I almost always use the highlighter tool for this. If you want to, you can fill the whole dang thing with that color, I just have a limited time to draw this, so I went with the minimal approach.
6: Each part has at least three different shades of the color. Here you'll use the middle color, having used the lightest in step 5. Just highlight the shadows, and where their fullest extent will be. One thing I found, was that I wanted to make a strait line for the shading, but that makes it look a bit more like plastic. You need to kind of scribble over where the two colors meet so it's not just a strait boarder.
7: Now, you should take your darkest shade and color the middle of the shadows. Same thing with the last step, you want a rugged boarder.
8: For this one, I'm taking a darker shade of the same color to highlight the windowsills and the darker shadows on the inside of the tree.

Link8(extended): I also took a very light shade of brown and colored in the windows. For this, you don't have to use brown, you could have used blue, white.. really any color.
9: This step is just blending the colors together. I just scribbled around with the shade before... say you have dark, normal, and light. I took dark and scribbled a little into normal. Normal into light, and let light stay as it was.
10: For this style of drawing, you have to do a lot of scribbling. For this step, I didn't really pay attention to what I was doing, but essentially, I just messed around with three shades of green.
Aaand there you have it! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. I'd love to answer them for you! Also, if you go ahead and try this out yourself, I'd love to see what you did.
As always, have a great day everyone! (Gotta find a good outro :P)
