UNICEF
Slide 1:
5 W’s: UNICEF was formed by a man named Ludwik Rajchman on December 11th, 1946. He proposed that an organization should be created to help world issues, especially ones concerning children. UNICEF is a non-profit organization in which volunteer doctors, construction workers and other professionals are stationed in over 190 countries, with their main focus on saving, protecting and defending children's human rights. UNICEF hopes that their efforts and donations from the public will help to protect human rights across the world and better the lives of those who are suffering.

Part of preventing HIV and AID is to provide treatment and Sexual health education to those in need. If given the most effective treatment of HIV, it will prevent it from later developing into AIDS. Every year, immunization saves 2 - 3 million children from preventable diseases.

Over 800 children die from poor hygiene and unsafe drinking water. UNICEF helps to install and fix w

UNICEF does a lot to help people in need, but something that we recognize as very important is their environmental efforts. In 2017, UNICEF stated that environmental sustainability is one of their top priorities. Many developing countries that UNICEF works with are already feeling the effects of global warming. Severe floods and storms seriously damage peoples crops, which may depend on as food and as a result suffer poor nutrition and starvation. As an effort to help the environment, UNICEF works to educate the public and bigger countries of the effects that global warming has on developing countries. They hope that by doing this, countries with more power like America and Canada will take action to help with global warming. In addition to this, UNICEF provided over 40,000 families in Bangladesh with fuel-efficient stoves, which is very important as indoor air pollution kills over 49,000 people yearly and can affect outdoor air quality as well. These efforts help to ensure humans rights are being r
