Yeah, I know, I did???? And I’m still a tad confused, you guys, uh. Are saying lots of stuff that’s just… factually incorrect. And generally proving your points… badly. Maybe you guys should take a break?? Just a suggestion, though.

I’ll just delete my comment in a sec, then. But I did want to clear up that the guy’s comments on lgbtq trying to lower the age of consent are just… incorrect. The age of consent was merely for people under 18, as in people who are 16, for example, to be with other 16 year olds. Which is already the case in many states. If you were 18 or older, it would still be illegal. This was to help with regulation, since 16 year olds were already doing stuff anyways and it can be pretty unsafe without proper education or the ability for them to access products like condoms. Still, not many people supported this, anyways, and it was barely any more likely for the lgbtq+ community to support it than anyone who’s just politically more progressive. Him saying the community is full of pedos was also incorrect. Pedophilia is actually *less* common among the lgbtq+ community than outside it. Shows and movies in the past had to portray the lgbtq+ community negatively if the wanted to portray them at all due to (cont.)

… the hays code, so positive representation was limited and often villaiized the community. Due to this, gay men especially were stereotyped as pedophiles, and general societal homophobia was normalized. Not to mention all the fear mongering ads and biases people were already raised with by prior generations. Point is, pedophilia being supposedly a common thing is completely incorrect and was spread and perpetuated by people outside the community who were homophobic and intolerant. The fact that that’s still an issue by this point is ridiculous, and using religion as an excuse also doesn’t help, despite religion in itself obviously not being inherently bad or anything.

Uh, and on the mention of furries being zoophiles? That’s also just a really gross stereotype. The large, large majority of furries aren’t zoophiles in any way, and although zoophiles are unfortunately more common within the community than outside it, them being a furry is often to mask and excuse that aspect of themselves, rather than being the cause for it or anything like that.
