i mean ngl i kinda feel bad? like they're obviously a very young kid who can't quite comprehend what "putting the dog down" entails
well, you can know that but not have really internalized it, yknow? if you've never had to put an animal down before, it's hard to truly Understand and comprehend what's going to happen. i'm probably a lot older than they are, and i've had to deal with a considerable amount of pet death, but when we had to put our cat down i still walked into rooms and expected to see her.
plus, it's really easy to compartmentalize away something like that if you're a young kid who doesn't know how to process grief properly
or she never cared abt the dog lmao
