SO i found a giant moth outside while taking pictures of the birds it was being attacked by ants so after blowing the ants off i got a piece of paper (so i didnt further damage its wing) and picked it up and put it in a safe spot. It turns out that it is called a Polyphemus Moth and can grow up to 6 inches in length. So i put the moth down and look at it for a bit cos i didnt know what else to do... THEN IT LAID EGGS!! Two little white eggs. I looked up how to care for the eggs and they are now safely in a container next to me, inside. The mother has a badly damaged wing, but i didnt take her inside cos i didnt want my parents to yell at me for having the moth (cos she would die anyway so there was no point) I think where she is will prevent her from being eaten alive by ants anyway. Later im going to look again and see if she lays any more eggs but for now i hope these two little eggs i have will survive and praying that the mother goes to the great lamp in the sky.
