LinkDepression is a real thing, something that's very horrible when you're going through it. I haven't had depression so I don't know what it's like.
But I can tell when people are "faking" it.
Yes you can be sad and upset, but that's not being depressed. Same goes with suicide/suicidal thoughts.
They aren't funny, don't say "I'm going to go commit suicide." As a joke. Because if a person that is going through depression/ is having suicidal thoughts may see that. And it'll most likely make them feel worse. Don't make fun of people with depression. It's not a joke okay? I'm sick of seeing people that say they have depression when they haven't even gone to a doctor/therapist to get there opinion. And some people who say they have it, might actually have depression. So that's why you CAN'T FAKE HAVING DEPRESSION. Because I get confused wether to believe a person or not when they say they have depression. Because the people WITH depression probably get shamed for taking it when they need help and support.

LinkSo please, don't fake having suicidal thoughts and/or depression.
I'm going to say this once again, You can be sad/upset/etc
But that's NOT being depressed.
Thank you for reading this.
This has been on my mind and it has needed to be addressed
i agree but dont agree with the dont say it unless youve been diagnosed with it, some people cant get diagnosed or are scared to go get diagnosed, i personally haven’t experienced it as i dont have depression but i know some people that do have it and have now been diagnosed with it that were scared to go speak to a doctor(/ councillor) about it and open up to a doctor about it, or their parents think its just a faze or something and wont let them get diagnosed. Obviously if their saying they have it just because their sad and crying once then yeah, they most likely dont have it, but if they fall under a lot of the symptoms they may have it and may say they think they have it despite the fact that they havent been diagnosed
