Six shook her head, with a look of pure shock on her face. She’d figure out what happened later, as of right now, she should keep going. Turning tail Six started on her way. Lighting the lantern, climbing the boards that made a makeshift ladder, across one bord, and up the stairs. ‘I wonder if the gnomes made these platforms?’ Six thought to herself as she continued on. With a flick her lighter’s flame sprang to life, as the dragonet glanced around the darkness warily. A bit of light shown on a pulley system, watching her step Six made her way over. Flicking her lighter off, and putting back in her pocket, Six’s claws clasped onto the cold handle. As she began to crank it, a door at the other end of the room opened, filling the darkness with much welcomed light. She stopped once it was fully opened, when she let go the door started to slowly close. Quickly her claws clasped onto the crank again, stopping the door from falling any farther. Again she turned the crank so the door was fully open. Once it was

open again Six sprinted to the door, grateful the light revealed parts of the path that could be jumped making her path shorter. Diving under the door, Six reached the next room with a heavy sigh. Ahead was a makeshift rope, from what Six could tell it was made of some kinda cloth, most likely bed sheets. The sudden sound of metal being dragged against metal caused Six to lookup, away from her path. Six shivered in fear as she watched the Janitor drag a cage as he stumbled across on his stubby legs, on a platform above her. The dragonet violently shook her head trying to repress the memory of her last escape attempt. As soon as the Janitor passed by Six continued on her way. Up the cloth rope, and passed the room it led into. She stopped her way blocked by electrified bars. Claws dug into the wooden boards beneath her, as she looked around. Her eyes landed on a leaver that had been hidden behind the door when she first entered. A smile flashed across the young dragon’s face, as she ran to jump up and pul

the lever down. Six hissed in annoyance being too short to reach the leaver, well also being unable to flap her wings to reach it. Once again she looked around, her eyes quickly landing on a box, and again the smile returned to her face. She patted over to the box, huffing a bit, having not expected it to be as heavy as it was, so with some effort she pulled the box under the lever. Jumping up onto the box, Six again jumped, her claws clasping onto the lever’s handle, and her body weight pulled the lever down. Six watched as the electricity around the iron bars stopped. Then she approached the bars, tapping them with her claws, before quickly pulling it back. Breathing out a sigh of relief, she continued on, easily slipping through the bars, and waving through the tangled mess of toys, before slipping past the bars on the other side.

Behind her the lights flickered on, and the bars sparked alive with electricity. Six curled her tail around her hind leg, not wanting to take any chances around the sparks of electricity. Stepping farther away from the bars she unwound her tail, and shook herself off. As she walked on, Six looked at the doors on either side of her, the height of the doors made her feel small and vulnerable. Six knocked over a pile of blocks as she walked passed, and stopped just before the open area in front of her. She watched as the light passed over the room in theirds, and from what she could see the light’s source was coming from a stone eye on the wall. Humming in thought Six went back to the hallway and grabbed one of the blocks she’d knocked over. She hauled the block back, and then through it as fair as she could. Which wasn’t too fair, only going to about the middle of the room. Once the light caught the movement it followed the block and stared at it a while after it stopped, then continued it’s routine. She

remembered this thing now. Six ready herself to sprint across to the bed that laid in the middle of the room. Once the light fell onto the cages at the farthest end of the room she sprinted to the bed. She edged herself as fair as she could without the light hitting her at all and readied herself again. And again once the light was the farthest away from her destination she sprinted towards the cadges. The dragonet smiled, her breathing slightly heavy, as she climbed the cages and onto the walkway above where that cursive light could hit her. On her right the door was cracked open, so logically she slipped inside. Her claws made no sound as she walked on the carpet, passing by beds with sleeping dragonets in them. Suddenly the door in the middle of the room opened, as the Janitor walked in. Momentarily Six stopped, but quickly snapped out of it, making her way under a nearby bed as quietly as possible. The monstrous dragon mumbled to himself as he made his way through the room, his claws passing over the

sleeping dragonets to make sure they were there. Six watched impatiently as the blind dragon slowly made his way to the door she’d just entered through. Then the Janitor stopped, and Six watched as he searched a bed that was located near the door. Six watched as the Janitor’s claws rested on a broken chain that hung loosely at the end of the bed. The blind dragon bared his teeth and growled, storming out the room angrily. Staying under the bed a bit longer, Six waited to see if he’d come back, but after a few minutes the dragonet assumed it was safe to continue.
