okay so I have an oc I've been wanting to introduce but I didn't think of how. His name is Maddox Kerns, and basically his entire backstory can be explained by the Official video https://youtu.be/BIQK4-9YFW0 if that link doesn't work go look up the Official Video for 'Gone Away' from Five Finger Death Punch, though I would want to warn you, it's a little heavy on the feels. Basically in the Video four friends join the army together after witnessing a horrible attack (possibly terrorrist). But after a year in the field, only one man returns. The video shows each family mourning over the three lost, and the remaining friend mourning as well, survivors guilt kicking in. Eventually he returns to the army as if to fight for his friends he lost, and in the last scene of the video, it shows that the man was wearing three recognition bands. These are basically dog-tags on their wrists, but he was wearing the bands that were originally worn by his three friends.
