Context behind Manu`s past: Devotion isn't Manu`s real mom. His real mom passed away from an "accident". When Manu was born, his mother didn't like the fact that he had his fathers appearance. <he is most black like his father> So she abandoned him at an age where he still remembered what had happened. So, when Devtion was younger, she found him. Her friends told her to leave the kit alone since he was gonna die soon. She didn't listen.

So she also decided to be his mother. When Manu was strong enough to talk, he told her what happend. Then came the "accidental" death of Manu`s biological mother. She was hit by a car. Ever since, Devtion has been really strict of who Manu meets. She doesn't want to get him hurt, or find out what really happened to his mom.
