Apparently a gear was stuck. That's pretty common with old ones.

I had this thing since I was in 5th grade (I'm a rising 9th grader) It had it's box too which is rare for a 30$ furby that's special edition. I never knew what was wrong with it but I thought it was due to age. I did know the gear mechanism where you turn a specific gear that's under the beak and today with my mom's help I got the confidence to take the fur down and examine the furby's insides to find that gear. So now he finally works besides the fact his eyes are yellowed.

No but it's a 1999 graduation furby that was a gift from my dad for my 5th grade graduation because I made honor role that year.
