One day I will capture all those beetles and house them in a terrarium and call them my living treasure trove

The blue death feigning beetle is a high priority on my list they look like spikey blueberry fruit from the dessert

They get weird ppl who collect them and basically just pamper them because they are oh so beautiful I suspect some of the reasons might be that bright colors usually send a warning to predators they are poisonous, and some exoskeletons use materials that looks holographic to us there’s some snakes that have the same multicolored affect

It’s no problem I’m secretly a nerd when it comes to invertebrates or reptiles and one of the biggest things about the their pet community is morphs ( different color patterns and genes )

One of my favorite morphs is the lavender hognose I never learned about its origins it like blows my mind there’s pastel purple snakes in the world

Well TECHNICALLY there like a grey but still pretty cool

IMO whoever created the world and it’s animals knew what they were doing when they made hognoses, and the discoverer/scientists that named them The fact they are venomous but the venom isn’t potent or very harmful unless your allergic to it is so funny, and then the way they mock strike so it’s just hissing and then bumping you with there nose has a cute element to it

AND there rear fanged venomous so they literally have to like grab and naw onto you for the venom to even get injected So unless you just have a really pissy snake or mishandle them most of the time you won’t even have to worry about it
