I have a younger brother who is 8, exactly 3 and a half years younger then me. Sometimes when he thinks I'm asleep he'll lift my shirt just enough to see my chest or touch my lower regions.. he did it earlier today too after I woke up from a nap. Idk what to do, I want to tell my mom but I'm scared she'll think I'm lying or say it's fine
I'm genuinely nervous to sleep because of him

At that age, welllll- 8 year olds wouldn't really know that its wrong and disgusting, but he needs to know that you're uncomfortable and it can't go on, or else when he's older he might do it to someone else and get in bad trouble-
Yeah you should tell your mom
He probably thinks its funny or he saw the same thing in a movie or show or something, but fr, your mom needs to teach him that he shouldn't do that to anyone
TELL YOUR PARENTS INSTANTLY, BEFORE IT GETS WORSE. YOUR MOM WILL BELIVE YOU AND IF SHE DOESNT THEN MAKE HER BELIVE. THATS A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM
ALSO TELL YOUR BROTHER THAT HE SHOULDNT DO THAT AND TELL HIM ITS NOT OK
