LinkYou were a hero, gamekeeper was a villain. One day while fighting you nearly killed game but the. You noticed that he was whimpering and shaking. He was frightened of you, you had never seen him scared before.
Gold couldn’t help but be hesitant, she had seen fear in the eyes of many, but, the last time it was at her hands was a millennia ago.
Gold seemed to debate with herself silently before whispering just loud enough to hear.
“Are you scared?”
She hesitated for a moment longer before she stood up. “Then this battle is over.”
Sensing his confusion she explained “My job is to protect the fearful. And in this moment, that means you.”
Gold looked around at whatever damage their battle may have caused before turning slightly towards Game. This was, awkward to say the least
Game: * looking around at all the destroyed buildings and stuff* ....
Gold did the same, knowing this act of mercy wouldn’t be taken lightly by the city who had to rebuild all of it.
Gold snickered slightly “guess the big bad villain is more aware of his damage then I thought.” She stated jokingly, trying to lighten the mood a bit
Game:.....I’m always aware...it’s just, this is a lot...more than normal.
Gold only nodded, thinking for a moment before stepping closer to one of the massive craters in the ground. Kicking in a few of the bigger rocks
“Well, come on, these holes aren’t gonna fill themselves.” She called behind her to the villain she starting to think isn’t as villainous as he wants people to think
Game: your right * he snaps his fingers and all the damage was fixed* there.
Gold is still just kinda, shocked, she hadn’t expected game to actually, do anything? Heck she had expected him to attack the moment she stood up.
“And you never thought it could be useful for, I dunno, helping people-?” She was gonna say more but then realized who she’s talking to
Game:......I wanted to help people, but boss wouldn’t allow it..
“Boss?” Gold questioned, she had know of other villains but had never heard of any being under another’s control
Game:.......I-I shouldn’t have s-said anything...I’ll just g-go..
“Remember what I said earlier? I protect the fearful, you seem scared of this guy, so I have to protect you”
Game: he’s the devil...literally, my stupid brother made a deal him and now we have to do whatever he says....
“Souls, all of that stuff. Not even real. He tricks you into thinking it is” she stated, before checking the time. “Oh! It’s really getting late!”
“We best be heading off, mum never likes it when I’m out to late. She worries”
