Please note that I'm still thinking through the storyline, so the next parts might take a while

How long has it been? 8 months? No, it couldn't be that long, I think maybe 5 months? I'm not sure, it's hard to tell time through this dangerous canopy.
Or maybe it could've been years? I've been trying to keep track, but with these voices and whispers and shrieks and screams distracting me I keep forgetting to count the days. And the ringing and beeping is starting to get worse...
No, surely someone is trying to rescue me, to at least communicate with me. The voices are hard to ignore though...
"They arent looking for you, just give up," They would say with a weird calmness added.
"They forgot about you, so just forget about them."
"HELP! RUN! ITS NOT SAFE!"
"IT BURNS! HELP ME! SAVE ME, PLEASE!"
"Come to my voice, listen to me."
"Join us, and the ringing will help you."
Should I listen though? Maybe wait just a little longer...
"NO. JOIN US AND YOU'LL BE FREE," It said, reading her thoughts.
There screaming now. Some saying to run, to help, to join them, to come to their voice

I'll just check the radio one more time.
A few moments passed, but nothing came through. No static even.

It's definitely been a few years, but how many? Well, it doesn't matter anyways. Nothing matters.
I don't matter.
I opened my eyes and saw a weird yet beautiful scene. My friends and family were with me. I felt peaceful at last.
But I felt something, like my body moving, but I wasn't moving.
Well, I shouldn't care, I've been saved, and that was mattered.
Then there was a loud crash.
The sky was opening up, she saw smoke.
She felt her body move again, but as if she didn't know how to control it. Her head twisted this way and that, but nobody around her noticed what was happening.
Well, why should I care? I'm back on earth, that is all that matters.
