So Liodell, Halzt and Mahza are the most important of Ringmaster's group due to the fact they are the most interactive of all of the many, many people in his group. Yes they are all missing an eye, Ringmaster will take one of the eyes of those who work under him to show he means business and isn't afraid to hurt them. Liodell was a very confident and destructive man who caused much suffering and pain to others in life, but he did give back to others he knew were in need and did try to help others that he knew were suffering and now suffers in the Ringmaster's clutches at purgatory. Halzt was a mass murderer and was proud of what he did, but he was also nice to those he cared about and would go out of his way to do anything to help family and friends, now he suffers in the Ringmaster's clutches at purgatory. Mahza was very strict and harsh on those who she deemed beneath her, but she was very kind to nature and animals, now she suffers in the Ringmaster's clutches at purgatory.
