LinkHELP not my enitre family but my mom is, she will have an ai image of herself as a whatsapp profile and its so unsettling to see an ai image of my own mom, i would love to tell her mom ill draw a profile for you but i dont know (or like) drawing people or faces :( and not long ago she was helping my dad create an instagram account and she would use ai filtered images of his products and i tried telling her "but mom thats so obvious its ai, who would want to buy that if its ai? people will think its fake" but that didnt work

Fr though, I fear AI art disturbs me a LOT. Especially the older ai generators…
I do hope she eventually embraces her own self image though. Ai can ruin self-esteem honestly :(

LinkShe says she used the ai profile because “she doesn’t want to use her actual face so strangers don’t have an image of her face there” and I understand that because I myself don’t have a picture of myself in WhatsApp, but instead an ai image of her face that’s literally her but with the weird lighting ai does… at least my dad is kinda anti ai as well so he might change that

I feel like pet images usually works the best, or at least something that tells a bit about yourself
I mentioned that I was working on a resume (while we were having a conversation), and the very first thing my mom says is, “Use ai!!!!!”
I’ve already told her MULTIPLE times that I don’t want to talk about AI with her :/ (and my dad)
I ask for help with my school subjects, like about a presentation! I actually want human feedback. Opinions, feelings, actual thought. But my parents seemingly has one word to say. “Ai.”

My brother too. He used to spend entire days in his room chatting with ai abt philosophical questions or running little experiments with ai, and somehow it led him to believe everyone around him was manipulating him???

I do love the concept of AI as to help humanity plant the next step and help with problems and I doubt it'll ruin humanity any time soon
it will definitely not take anyones jobs because it barely even functions properly, and is prone to definitely **** up something in either something generative
and there will be a law preventing generative AI being used for bad intentions so

My parents don’t really have an opinion on AI,, my mum did have an Ai photo of the island we were on for a short time but after abt 7 months changed it to a family photo and my dad doesn’t like the Ai voices in videos but other than that I don’t think they really care 🤷♀️ sorry your parents really like AI and use it for every problem, sounds like it’d get a little annoying ddue :/
