LinkWrenpaw yawned and got up out of the apprentices den shaking his fur and straining to reach the hard to reach spot at the base of his tail. He had grow to be the biggest of his litter and a well respected apprentice with the leader, Stonestars son Speckledgrass as his mentor. Speaking of Speckledgrass the light footed Tom ran towards him. “Wrenpaw you me Elkfur and Skypaw are going on a patrol together” The tom motioned his paw towards the entrance of camp and ran to it. Wrenpaw was going to ask what type of patrol but he answered himself by looking at the full freshkill pile
Not a hunting patrol I suppose a border patrol hopefully we will find no senets of Flowerclan or Seaclan in our borders or they’re gonna lose some fur. He thought and walked to Speckledgrass.
“A border patrol right?” Mewed Wrenpaw. Speckledgrass yawned “Oh yes forgot to mention that” He said as Elkfur and Skypaw walked to where Wrenpaw was sitting. “Can we go now? Complained Skypaw

Wrenpaw pulled a piece of grass if the wet dewy ground and licked it then dropped it back down his younger in a blep. “ Ew grass tastes bad” says Wrenpaw “I know right” replied Skypaw pawing at her tounge to get peices of grass off of it. “Well then don’t lick it just lay down and roll around on the grass that will still put your scent there” Said Elkfur. Skypaw mumbled something and rolled on the grass anyway. He rolled down on the grass like everyone else and got grass up his nose and sneezed. “Can we go now?” Said Skypaw. Speckledgrasses ears went up and his tail puffed. “No!” Wrenpaw’s back bristled “What do you mean!” He yelled Speckledgrasses expression turned angry “there is someone here
