I think it’s probably not that hard to play, but hard to play well
^^Yeah, like almost any instrument it’s not hard to play a note or two on it, but being able to play the notes just right and moving the bow so that it sounds clear and beautiful instead of scratchy and murky takes work. And that’s not even getting into tremolo and shifting…
And thats the reason “ask me about my violin” was the shirt

Yeah I play violin but I’m not that good at it. I’m second to last first violinist at school. I’m competent enough but I rarely practice. I can’t do tremolo, and I can’t get that beautiful sound to come out of my violin like the first chair can. And that’s why I agree so much with what you said. Even though I’ve been playing for 6 and a half years now, I’m definitely far from being great at violin. So, to make 2 long comments short, yes I agree with you; it’s easy to play but hard to play well
