LinkHumans and dragons lived in war. Dragons trying to survive while humans tried to thrive. The humans captured dragons to harvest their scales. The better you were, the worse the pain.

Cybill was out by a lake, trying to wash thick blood off her scales while also keeping a low profile.
Apollo kept close to the trees. Watching the dragon around his family lake. ' I wonder what she's doing here-' he thought.
Once she had finished, she readied her pathetically small wings. 'The lake isn't too big...' she thought. Cybill knew she might regret the outcome of this.
Apollo kept his gaze on her, wondering what in the word what she was doing. ' she's seriously not going to fly over the lake is she? Her wings look to weak...'
Cybill held her breath as she pushed off the ground. Her body hung helplessly as she flew. Nevertheless, it was working as far as she could tell.
Apollo peeked his head out of the shadows, his ring eyes following her. ' wow, she's doing it! ' he held his breath as he watched.
Cybill suddenly heard gunfire in the distance. A human had seen her and tried to shoot her, but the aim was poor. The shock had sent her claws in the water yet she continued to flap her wings faster.
