"Hate transcends generations" refers to the fact that Dino (The Dalmation) and Thorntail (The brown wolf) are father and son. The story behind this drawing is pretty simple--
When Bluemoon lived in Spark Pack, she was the Omega, and hated by everybody in the Pack, mostly by Thorntail. Thorntail had no good reason to hate Bluemoon as much as he did, but that idea never stopped him from doing it. Once she left for Thunder Pack, Thorntail kept his grudge on her and messed with her Pack little by little before she would break. Starting with secretly training one of her Apprentices to go against her, injuring a newborn from Thunder Pack, and killing her son. Months passed by, and Thorntail got himself a mate, had two pups, and moved on with his life, before Bluemoon was fed up with his schemes, and what he had done to her and her Pack. She attacked him and his family and killed him, along with his mate and pup, while his second son, Dino, escaped. Dino saw this happen while hiding in the trees.
Without any other option left, he left to live with the humans, still holding the same grudge his father held before him. Spiritually, Thorntail talked to his son in his dreams, telling him to avenge him, and his family. Dino at first refused to follow his orders, but after having his best friend, neighbor, and potential mate taken away from him by the same Pack, he was fed up, and agreed to his father's plans to kill Bluemoon. About a year passed by, and he succeeded, yet at the cost of his life. Dusty, who before left to join Thunder Pack, now named Dustyleaf, trained for that whole year, just to someday kill his old friend, who threatened the life of his new Pack, and new family. Although Dino succeeded in his task, in the end, it was never worth it...
