LinkOkayayay she doesn’t live w/ her parents,, her dad left when she was really little and her mom had passed away recently so she lives w/ her grandparents,, she had picked up most music habits from her mom teaching her and w/ her grandpa,, her grandparents always said she should make some friends, but you know *proceeds to be neurodivergent and can’t understand social queues and has too much anxiety* y e a h . So she just kinda,, hung out w/ her grandparents a to until she met Felix trying to stop them,,, but then yknow they become epic gamer friends

Dex's real name is Melody. She was given the nickname "Windex" in middle school due to her incident of slipping on a bottle of windex. Not spilled windex, the BOTTLE. She later started chosing the name themselves, shortening it to Dex and being really comfortable with it.The name Melody makes her very emotional, reminds her of her mom and other things. Usually the name is only really used if she isn't listening and someone's trying to get through to her, bc it grabs her attention instantly. (Which is why it reminds her of her mom a lot, y'know,, the whole "Getting someone to listen by using their full name" technique.) Her gradma's name is Dorian and he used to work w/ robots and all that Jazz!! but hes retired now (Speaking of Jazz,, he can play the sax bc he's COOL like that) Her Grandma's name is Candace and she runs a bakery that also kinda serves as their home,,. they all are musically talented and have a music-themed name bc,, idk i thought it would be cool :]
