Blended shading doesn't always looks great.
I'm not just saying this because it can look really messy, but also when you're drawing off site and you use the airbrush tool to shade. Most of the time it will looks like trash.
Don't be afraid to do cel shading (shading that looks "hard" or "sharp" so you can see clearly where the shading starts and ends)! I reccomend doing this if you're an amateur artist and just starting to get the hang of digital art, as the finished product will look a lot better.

I've had this opinion for a while now, but never really said it to anyone.
Hmm yes, but I am not sure about whether cel shading is easy to do.
Since Cel shading is already an essential design, where e.g. multiple shadows of different shapes have been merged. I think the point I'm trying to make it, don't underestimate it, guys
But yes, blended shading does not look great if not done properly. And it also may be harder to do
