It can be both!
I've seen ppl do it with the disorder AND people faking it.
I mean like can't someone have a racist alter and not be racist because it's another person in your brain or something

DID often shows up in ones childhood, between the ages of 5 and 10... but you can only be diagnosed when your an adult. DID is a childhood trauma disorder

a giant wave of people suddenly get 90 disorders and shit like its a trend, something is definitely wrong here
of course though there are the legit ones I can spot
It would be funny how those people do no research whatsoever on the disorders they fake if it wasn't so damaging to the people that actually suffer from them
