So.
The first one happened at my aunt's house. I was maybe 7 or 8. I was floating around in the pool with my little floaties and crap. My cousin (who was 12 or 13) decided to joke around and pull the floatie out from under me, and we were in the deep end. I couldnt swim back then (actually i still can't) so I started panicking, which caused me to sink down into the water. Me, not understanding the concept of how humans cant breathe underwater, took a huge breath of air while i was fully submerged in water. I started choking, and literally everyone who was at the house was sitting around the pool, not doing anything. After about 6 minutes my dad realised i was drowning, he jumped in to save me, but he thought i was joking and TOSSED ME BACK INTO THE WATER. He got me out eventually, and I had a really bad headache for a week after that..

The second happened at the beach.
I was splashing around in the water with a lite board thingy (this one happened a few months ago) and a wave shoved me around a ton, and I started freaking out and flailing around. A bigger wave completely COVERED me in water, and i took a huge breath of air when i THOUGHT I was out of the water. Nope. My head was just barely in the air when i took a huge breath, and i was screaming for help. Nobody even bothered to look in my direction, and my dad was standing there watching, saying stuff like "SWIM UP TO SHORE!!" when he KNEW I couldnt swim. My board was gone, so I was screaming and flailing around until he FINALLY decided to help me.
Yeah..
I have a PTSD of being in water (mid-chest up) because of this, and I'm terrified of water.
