It was a rainy evening in the kingdom of Valktara.
Heavy droplets thudded against the shields and armor of the Golorian knights as they walked in perfect formation, the metallic noise that it produced being one of the few sounds heard above the stomping of hooves.
At the front of the group rode King Spencer and his advisor, a beast known as Vera.
Spencer was a tall, muscular man, with messy hair and a clawed out eye. Despite the fear factor his gruff appearance often gave off, his skill was solely focused on combat. All of the smart decisions came from Vera. Vera was a tall, elf-looking man, except his skin appeared tree like, and he had broken looking antlers twisting and curling out of his skull as if they had been once been alive, and then petrified.
Knowing Vera, Spencer thought, that would not be surprising. They shared the same gift- that of magic. And with their combined effort, they’d proven to be an unstoppable force.

Link( still going )
And with the vast majority of their army mind controlled and artificially enhanced, who was to say they weren’t?
He’d waited years for today. Years, longing to overthrow the kingdom of Valktara. And now, they’d finally gotten a good chance- The current king was poisoned, by Spencer’s own stealthy hands. And with his spy, Valktara’s regent in command, the opposing forces would he ordered to stand down as he and his men trampled them with their battlehorses.
As the last bit of color disappeared and pale stars began to dot the sky, Vera blew a long, flat note into the horn he carried around. And as the horses charged down the slope, riders screaming and waving weapons, the two leaders exchanged a grin. Even as Spencer urged his steed onward into the flood of armed men, he still had a grin on-
