LinkOK GUYS I KNOW THIS IS GOING TO MAKE SOUND INCREDIBLY STUPID BUT I FEEL REALLY GUILRY ABOUT IT AND I REALLY DUMB
so i draw germany from hetalia often. I usually draw him with the iron cross. My stupid ass did not know that was a nazi badge of merit... i thought it was a symbol of something else since he gave one to italy... so im really really embarrassed that i drew him with it a few times ;-; i am educated on a lot of history but im not very familiar with specific war decorations so i thought it was a symbol of something like importance. There is one without the nazi symbol that was given out in 1857 which doesn't contain the swastika which is what ive been drawing but still

I feel really really stupid about this whole thjng ;-; i know he wears it in the anime and manga sometimes but i dont like associate him with nazism whatsoever and im kinda mad at hima for .making germanys character have the iron cross cause i dont think the country of germany should constantly be tied with its really dark past

LinkI thought it qas normal too cuz a ton of ppl draw him with it and nobody in the comments of those arts pointed that out since its his og design ;-; i guess i should have known better because this entire anime is based off of stereotypes and its lowkey kind of racist but i just really like the characters a lot and when i draw them or write them i do my best to take away any harmful stereotypes or anything like that ;-; still feel guilty for liking this anime but idk

LinkI dont really know anyone who is offended by hetalia but i still feel guilty for it being like my top fixation since there are some QUESTIONABLE moments in the show. I cant tell hima wrote peak comedy or if my brain is rotted by the yaoi in the anime.
