LinkI just wanted to acknowledge the lack of communication I’ve had with some of my friends I’ve made hear on flipanim and discord. I feel as if time has made a wedge between our friendship and made things more awkward to talk about. The reason why I feel like this is because, personally by myself I’m not that great of a talker, and soon I begin to run out of things to talk about in a conversation, which in case can make things stale. So again to anyone who has felt as if I haven’t been talking to them in a while, I’m sorry. And I would love to chat sometime again in the future!

Oh, that's okay! I mean, we do talk a lot, so I don't see you as a bad talker.
I honestly feel the same way as well, but mostly in real life. I tend to be socially awkward that sometimes after I start a conversation, there's a pause, and I kinda cringe at myself. But there's nothing to be ashamed of!
That’s what I don’t get, why can I have a great conversation with some people, and then with others I can’t barely say anything interesting to keep the chat alive?
Also thank you for showing me I’m not the only one who has this problem, it means a lot. But I’ll try and work on it so that I can become a better at talking!
I remember you saying to me that it's probably because of different interests? (What's funny is that you gave me the same advice awhile back when I had the same problem!)

From my experience talking with you, you’re really fun to talk to, and you constantly come up with very interesting topics as well! I hope you succeed with your goals at having great conversations with others, you definitely have to skills to do it!
Thanks, but it's not that easy because I kinda don't know a lot of things that my friends talk about, hence I feel that there's an invisible wall between us.
I know what their interests are, but:
A) I don't know a lot about the interest itself.
B) Some of the interests might be inappropriate, hence is why they leave me out, because I'm "Too innocent."
C) I'm not interested in their interests.
Ok, so if you’re not interested in their interests, then what happens, when you all get together to talk?
Do you have other people who share the same interests as you that you talk to frequently?
And lastly have you tried to make other friends who have similar interests as you? (Due to you having a welcoming attitude)
Well, um I sometimes just sit there, but I ask questions.

Sometimes, but I tend to be shy irl, because I had a bad experience with bullying, which kinda makes me self conscious and have trust issues.

And sorry for asking all these questions, I’m trying to find out what problems you have with talking with others you have no common interests in, and from what I’ve learned, it seems as if you don’t have too many opportunities to talk with others who are on the same page as you. Other than that, I’m running blanks. But I’m still willing to help if needed.
What's also a bit sad is that irl, I try to be myself, but not a lot of people give a shroom about it, but it is what it is...
Weirdly enough, I easily make friends with people who are older (teachers), and mostly, younger than me.
I'm kinda happy how accepting many users on here are. I mean, they enjoy me being myself, including you!

I guess because I give off a childlike vibe, I'm friends with the little kids. But because I'm polite and mature, I'm somewhat friends with my teachers.
