i hate how much artists on tiktok and instagram are wasting their lives away drawing balloons and lips and crushed tin cans with a gillion dollar prismacolors and shitting themselves when their posts "don't get enough likes" even though they get. like. multiple hundred thousand likes.

i feel like the importance of expressing yourself through art and drawing what you want to and using art as a creative outlet has been completely lost in the ever-modernizing world today. everyone is so hungry to be popular and famous. but being the center of attention is terrible. it really is lonely at the top

i wartched a movie about tony hawk the other day and he said that when he reached the peak of his popularity he felt like a machine and he felt like he was just skating on autopilot. he said that he didn't want to anymore and there really was no fun or spirit to it. and i think that movie started making me fall into some crazy hippie dippie bullshit This Problem has been stuck on my mind all day
