Linkso if you didnt know i. got called insane (and words like it- most notably crazy, sociopath, unstable, etc) a lot both in the past and actually pretty recently by uhh ableist ****ers in place of "bad person" and/or "person who did something stupid/something id didnt like" to the point its. kind of had an effect on my mental health? it bugs me a lot and hopefully its okay that i guess im. reclaiming????? it?????? i hate saying reclaiming bc that makes me feel like im treating it like a slur but

Mental Ill. i got issues problems. im not denying that. its their use of the word and the context cause it wasnt said as a "oh i think you're insane and to improve your mental health i am pointing it out to you so maybe you can change and get help",, even then there's better ways to phrase that sort of thing, but it wasn't even close. it was just kind of a throwaway term used against me just to hit below the belt. so now i just kind of use it casually to take away the punch

Linkim not going to call anyone else here insane (outside of jokes, which hopefully i will make sure to tag) and im definitely not going to use it in a derogatory way because, obviously, i know what that feels like, and im not an ableist asshole. if it does make you uncomfortable i can try to tone it down but i can guarantee it and i apologize in advance. if anyone wants to join me, though? feel the **** free, dude. as long as you know it's not making anyone uncomfortable (which, to my knowledge, it's not)
