This animatic briefly explains the relationship between Shin and Nana, who he later on nicknamed Na-chan. Na-chan is the mother of Neko, who is in the NMTA series. She belonged to a clan of cats who lived both in the forest and the streets, while Shin belonged to a small neighborhood that fed him from time to time when he sits and waits at their door. Although both Na-chan and Shin-kun like each other, they're not allowed to be together due to Na-chan's current mate, who is the leader of Na-chan's clan. Shin-kun becomes depressed because of this but finds happiness in his neighbor, Musty-kun. Later on, with Musty-kun's help, of course, Na-chan and Shin-kun are able to see each other again briefly while her clan runs in fear.
